Bridge USDC to Stellar

Move USDC you already hold on Ethereum or Polygon onto Stellar, so you can donate it to a climate project without buying a second token.

What this bridge does for GreenPay

GreenPay donations are made with Stellar-native assets, but most people hold USDC on Ethereum or Polygon. This bridge closes that gap: your USDC is burned on the source chain and an equal amount is minted as native Stellar USDC, so the money you already have becomes money you can donate.

GreenPay uses Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) — the protocol run by the issuer of USDC itself. Because the transfer is a burn-and-mint, there is no wrapped token, no liquidity pool and no bridge operator holding your funds in escrow. GreenPay never takes custody: you approve the transfer in your own wallet and the USDC lands directly at your Stellar address.

What GreenPay does

  • Reads your Ethereum USDC balance, read-only, so you can see what is available to move
  • Opens Circle's bridge pre-filled with your Stellar address as the destination
  • Records a transfer you have already completed as a donation to a project you choose

What GreenPay does not do

  • Hold or custody your funds at any point
  • Charge a bridge fee — CCTP burns and mints at par, so the amount arrives unchanged
  • Convert fiat. This moves crypto you already own; it is not a cash on-ramp or off-ramp

How to Bridge

  1. Connect your Ethereum wallet

    Connect MetaMask to see how much USDC you have available to bridge. This step only reads your balance.

  2. Connect your Stellar wallet

    Connect Freighter so we know which Stellar address should receive the USDC.

  3. Open Circle's bridge

    We open Circle's CCTP interface in a new tab with your Stellar address and the network you picked already filled in.

  4. Complete the transfer on Circle

    Follow Circle's instructions to approve and confirm. The USDC is minted on Stellar and is ready to donate.
